City of Toronto celebrates 10 years of hosting Toronto’s largest newcomer event
The City of Toronto is presenting its tenth annual Toronto Newcomer Day tomorrow. Mayor Olivia Chow will address the crowd on behalf of Toronto City Council alongside Deputy Mayor Ausma Malik (Spadina-Fort York).
Date: Thursday, May 23
Times: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with remarks from Mayor Chow at 1 p.m.
Location: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St. W.
First proclaimed in 2015, Toronto Newcomer Day welcomes newcomers to Toronto while helping them to understand and access a wide range of services and honour their contributions to the city. More than 55,000 people have attended this event since it began.
