City of Toronto to launch public education campaign about the upcoming Rental Renovation Licence Bylaw

On Tuesday, Councillor Gord Perks (Parkdale-High Park), Chair, Planning and Housing Committee, Councillor Paula Fletcher (Toronto-Danforth) and City of Toronto staff will provide an update on the City’s efforts to educate landlords and tenants about the Rental Renovations Licence Bylaw which comes into effect on Thursday, July 31.

On November 14, 2024, Toronto City Council adopted a Rental Renovation Licence By-law (https://secure.toronto.ca/council/agenda-item.do?item=2024.PH16.4) to curb bad faith evictions and protect tenants from the practice of renovictions.
