City of Toronto breaking ground on new community and recreation centre in North York

Tomorrow, Mayor Olivia Chow will be joined by Councillor Anthony Perruzza (Black Creek-Humber River) and City of Toronto staff to break ground on a new state-of-the-art community recreation and child care centre in North York.

Date: Friday, June 13
Time: 10:45 a.m.
Location: 60 Starview Ln.
Note: Media are asked to RSVP to media@toronto.ca by 6 p.m. today. Media can park at the back parking lot of the St. Basil-The-Great College School.

The City is making significant investments in new community and recreation centres across Toronto. Over the past few years, the City has broken ground on Wallace Emerson Community Centre, Northeast Scarborough Community Recreation and Child Care Centre and the East Bayfront Community Recreation Centre while successfully opening Ethennonnhawahstihnen’ Community Recreation Centre and Library, One Yonge Community Recreation Centre and Canoe Landing Community Recreation Centre.
