City of Toronto to launch new, user-friendly system for recreation and cultural program registration and facility bookings on November 6
The City of Toronto is excited to announce the launch of a new, modernized system to register for recreation and cultural programs, and view and book the City’s recreation, parks and museum rental spaces including indoor ice rinks, cultural centres, fire pits, sports fields and stadiums. Residents are encouraged to take action to prepare to use the new system.
The platform will launch on Wednesday, November 6, provide a more user-friendly experience for residents and visitors, streamline the registration process and make it easier to find and sign up for a wide range of activities. The new system is mobile-responsive and has improved accessibility features.
The new registration and booking system will have improved self-serve options including the ability to:
• Sign in using an email and password of choice
• Register for programming from a personalized wish list
• Transfer or withdraw from an activity online
• Buy memberships online.
There will also be improved functionality available including:
• Accessing photos of bookable spaces and parks
• Viewing the number of people on the waitlist
• Receiving notifications advance of membership expirations
• Viewing activity results online including the grading of programs such as swimming.
Information sessions: Learn about the new system
The City will host virtual information sessions where residents can learn about the new system, see a demonstration of the new platform and have questions answered.
Residents can learn more and register for a session by visiting the City’s online registration webpage: http://toronto.ca/OnlineReg
Virtual information sessions will be available on the following dates:
• Saturday, October 26, from 1 to 2 p.m.
• Monday, October 28, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, October 29, from 7 to 8 p.m.
• Sunday, November 3, from 1 to 2 p.m.
There are actions residents can take to prepare to use the new system:
Before October 31 – Get ready by logging into eFun – the City’s current online booking and registration system – to download or print receipts of current registered program or booking schedules. Residents are also encouraged to make note of current levels in programs.
November 1 to 5 – Transition period from the current system to the new system. While current programs will operate as usual, there will be no access to eFun during this period. Membership, key tags and multi-visit pass holders are asked to show passes to staff when they arrive for any programs.
November 6 – The new system launches with users accessing the new system to a create a new account. Several supports will be available to help residents and users with the new system such as online video tutorials, take home step-by-step postcards and in-person support.
November 13 – Start searching for winter recreation programs and build a personalized wish list. Find Holiday CampTO, PA Day CampTO, December holiday events, March Break CampTO and Aquatic Leadership programs.
By December 3 – Create your new account to prepare for registration. Search for programs and build your wish list.
December 3 and 4 – Registration for winter recreation programs begins at 7 a.m. each day.
