South King Tool Library
Tool Collection at Game Farm Park during Clean Sweep
New this year, South King Tool Library [ https://www.southkingtools.org/ ] will be at Game Farm Park, Saturdya, April 20 from 9 AM – 12 PM collecting tool donations. They can take any manual or power handheld tools that are in working condition.
Can Take:
* Manual hand tools
* Scrapers, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, pliers, and sockets
* Clamps
* Tape measures
* Levels and straight edges
* Tool belts, tool bags
* Toolboxes - must be able to stay closed and have a handle to carry, less than 10 pounds
* Garden tools - please cover any sharp edges
* Trowels, hatchets, hand hoes, hori horis
* Garden gloves
* Fasteners in original packaging
* Nuts, screws, nails, bolts
* Unopened glue, caulking, or epoxy
* Manual blade or chain tools
* Long handled items
* rakes, shovels, pitchforks, hoes, spades
* Large or free-standing power tools
* Specialized and hobbyist tools
* Craft tools
Cannot Take:
* Broken or inoperable tools
* Rusted tools
* Gas powered tools
* Fasteners not in original packaging
* Partially used paint, caulking or glue
* Tool chests and cabinets

In celebration of Earth Day
Saturday April 20 | 9 AM-12 PM
Help Auburn celebrate *Earth Day* and participate in Clean Sweep [ https://www.auburnwa.gov/cms/one.aspx?portalId=11470638&pageId=13102507&objectId.253644=13588093&contextId.253644=13102509&parentId.253644=13102510&localStartDate=2023-04-22T09:00&localEndDate=2023-04-22T12:00&ref=mesTP9fg96fVsgzpWYeogNwzz3takLXT1k%2blqbc2PE4%3d ]! This socially distanced event is just around the corner and you’re invited to volunteer *Saturday, April 20 from 9 AM – 12 PM*.
Volunteer groups will work on general clean-up, landscaping, planting, weeding, litter pick-up and other projects at various parks, trails and other public sites around Auburn. Clean Sweep 2022
Everyone is welcome to join in the fun! We invite service clubs, social service agencies, faith-based groups, scouting troops, businesses, families, and individuals to come out for the day, work together on some beautification projects, and celebrate Auburn.
Individuals and groups can either choose to participate in a specific project or we can assign you to the project that is in need of the most volunteer support.
Volunteers will be asked to bring tools based on their volunteer assignment (determined once registered), gardening or work gloves. Participants are encouraged to wear t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, or other clothing that identifies their group.
*The morning agenda for Saturday, April 20 is as follows: *
* 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. - Optional Welcome Breakfast - Auburn Community & Events Center
* 8:45 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.. - Check in at project location - emailed in advance
* 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. – Volunteers commence project tasks

No plastic water bottles
In support of Earthday.org [ https://www.earthday.org/ ]'s mission to reduce plastic waste, the City of Auburn's Clean Sweep event will not be providing plastic water bottles to volunteers. We ask that you please plan accordingly and bring you own source of water.
