City of Toronto to provide update on former Artscape properties at Youngplace

Tomorrow, Mayor Olivia Chow will be joined by Deputy Mayor Ausma Malik (Spadina–Fort York) to provide an update on former Artscape properties at Youngplace (180 Shaw St.) and 210 Simcoe St.

Date: Wednesday, February 19
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Small World Music Centre, Suite 101, Youngplace, 180 Shaw St.
Parking: Public parking is available on a first come first serve basis at 1117 Dundas St. W.

Artscape, a not-for-profit supporting affordable housing and creative spaces for artists, entered receivership in 2023 due to financial challenges. This update will highlight how the City of Toronto and the Government of Canada are responding to support local artists and their families.
