City of Toronto and partners to open new supportive housing development

Tomorrow, Mayor Olivia Chow, the Honourable Arif Virani, Minister of Justice and Member of Parliament for Parkdale—High Park and Councillor Gord Perks (Parkdale-High Park) will join the University Health Network (UHN), United Way Greater Toronto (UWGT) and Fred Victor to officially open Canada’s first-ever social medicine supportive housing initiative at 90 Dunn Ave.

Date: Thursday, October 3
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: 90 Dunn Ave.
Parking: Limited parking is available at the UHN Bickle Centre at 130 Dunn Ave.

The event will begin outdoors with a ribbon-cutting, followed by a tour of the space for key guests. Formal remarks will begin at 10.30 a.m. in the programming room within the building.

Media representatives are requested to RSVP to media@toronto.ca by 4 p.m. today. A tour of 90 Dunn Ave. will be provided for interested media at approximately 11.20 a.m.
